Crowne Plaza Milan City
The modern and central Crowne Plaza Milan is located next to the Sondrio metro station, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. All guest rooms are soundproof and feature satellite TV, flat screen TV, air conditioning. The breakfast buffet is nice and includes freshly made Italian cakes and pastries. Hotel Michelangelo's excellent location, close to the Milan Central Railway Station, makes it a perfect place from which to explore the city. Da Vinci's Last Supper and the famous Duomo are nearby. Many of the best gay nightlife options and gay bars are within walking distance. The air-conditioned rooms are relatively simply furnished but comfortable and soundproof. Each room has a free minibar, whirlpool bath. Great value for money with regular promotions and offers.
Hotel Ariosto ****
The four star Hotel Ariosto is housed in a liberty style building in the centre of the chic Magneta neighbourhood. The Ariosto is an old fashioned and charming hotel that has been renovated to make it fully functional, elegant and respectful of the buildings a round. The Hotel Ariosto is owned by the leaders of Milanese hospitality the Brera group. The Magneta district is a central district of Milan and its main streets Corso Magneta and Corso Vercelli are prominent shopping streets. A short journey and you will be in Milan's major gay area. The rooms which overlook the garden or the art nouveau palaces on Via Ariosto, are stylish, comfortable and come with natural wood floors and furniture that create a relaxing feel. The modern Ramada Plaza hotel is located close to the MIlan city centre, just a 2-minute walk from Turro metro station (from which you can easily access the historic sights and shopping areas). The colours and fabrics give the rooms a slightly retro feel which blends well with modern comforts. Each room has free WiFi, minibar, safe, coffee maker, LCD satellite TV. The spa is worth a special mention. Gay scene-wise, the Ramada Plaza is located within a couple of minutes' walk of the popular DEPOT Milano gay cruise club.

Our list of the best luxury hotels in Milan would not be complete without the Armani Hotel, designed by Mr. Armani himself. Housed in a gorgeous 1930's building, the hotel offers 95 rooms and suites, all furnished with top Armani products. The spa, restaurant and gym all reflect Armani's simple, sophisticated signature style. Location-wise, the hotel just opposite the Montenapoleone metro station and a 10-minute walk to the Cathedral. Pricey, but you're worth it.

Gay, classy and value for money. This elegant B&B may be a bit outside the city centre, but the Tram 23 at Lambrate Station (a 5-minute walk) takes you directly to the Duomo, the heart of Milan. 2cute 2b Straight is tastefully decorated, with a lot of gray tones and nice little touches of Italian - luxury bath amenities by Ortigia, SMEG refrigerator, etc. Guest rooms are air-conditioned and feature a flat screen TV and work desk. Bathrooms are either en suite or shared. There’s free WiFi throughout the property, and the large living room has comfortable sofas and tables. An Italian-style breakfast is served every morning.
New Generation Hostel Urban Brera
If you’re on a budget, the New Generation Urban Brera offers good-value rooms in Milan’s historic city centre, close to the Turati metro , which is only two stations from the famous Duomo (or you can walk for about 20 minutes). The hostel offers rooms and dorms with en suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi. You can cook in the large, well-equipped kitchen and/or store your food there. The beds are comfy, though the windows are a bit small. Gay scene-wise, the popular Glitter @ Provocateur dance party is a short walk from the hostel.
