Vibe Hotel Sydney
Vibe Sydney offers very good value for money and convenient location, close to the shopping district, gay bars on Oxford Street and some of the best sights in the city. Guest rooms are surprisingly spacious, each featuring air conditioning, flat screen TV (with free digital channels, Fox Sports, Sky News), minibar, safe and free WiFi. You can use the hotel's gym or take a dip in the rooftop pool. The Curve Café serves Australian food, although there is a huge choice of restaurants and cafés nearby.
Arts Hotel Sydney
Not quite artsy as the name may suggest, but Arts Hotel (formerly Sullivans Hotel) is popular with gay travelers due to its value for money and convenient location. Arts Hotel is surrounded by boutiques, restaurants, cafés, cinemas and galleries and its just a few minutes' walk from the city's gay nightlife scene. Song Hotel (Y Hotel Hyde Park)
The great-value Song Hotel (formerly 'Y Hotel Hyde Park') is located next to Hyde Park and 10 minutes' walk from Paddy's Markets. Best Western PLUS Hotel Stellar
If you want a bit more space or prefer to share with friends, then consider the Best Western PLUS, located just steps away from Hyde Park and minutes to the gay bars & clubs on Oxford Street. The hotel offers spacious, air-conditioned 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments, each of which has a kitchenette, flat screen TV, free WiFi. The in-house café serves coffee and snacks, and Stellar bar offers beers and wine. Great value for money and a popular choice.
Larmont Sydney by Lancemore
The Larmont is a great choice for gay guests, as it is located in the middle of Kings Cross, halfway between the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens, Woolloomooloo and the Oxford Street gay scene. The contemporary-styled guest rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable. The Deluxe rooms have a balcony with excellent view across the city. Guests have free access to the gym next door.

You'll enjoy the 20-metre indoor lap pool, gym & sauna. Location-wise, the Meriton is just opposite Sydney's Capitol Theatre, close to Chinatown, many shopping and dining options nearby.
Rydges Sydney Central
The Rydges Sydney Central offers 271 contemporary rooms, along with an interesting lobby that features a glass floor aquarium housing Japanese Koi fish. The hotel is located just minutes from gay bars & restaurants on Oxford St. Guest rooms are large, although we prefer the Deluxe Rooms that feature a very comfortable king-sized bed and sofa area. WiFi is free. The onsite Townhouse Bar & Restaurant serves a range of traditional pub food and beers on tap and cocktails. The hotel also has its own 15-metre indoor pool, spa, sauna and gym.
This luxury boutique hotel offers just 31 totally chic rooms with an iPad, an Apple TV, DVD player, BOSE sound system and free WiFi. The gorgeous bathrooms feature Bvlgari toiletries. Establishment has 5 restaurants including the multiple award-winning Three Chef Hats which was recently voted one of the world’s top fine dining venues. Fabulous choice of bars, too. The Hilton Sydney's guest rooms have a lot packed into a relatively small space. Larger suites are great if you're staying for more than a few days. We like their modern facilities which include a gym, a 25-metre indoor pool, sauna and steam room. Conveniently located in the middle of Sydney's CBD, close to many of the best shopping areas and about a 10-minute walk to both The Rocks and the gay scene in Darlinghust.
If you like something different, then consider the Ovolo. This Condé Nast Traveler Award winner is housed in a former passenger ferry terminal building that has been transformed into a funky development that's half hotel, half apartments. Guest rooms feature modern facilities, free WiFi. We recommend the Loft which has a mezzanine bedroom with nice harbour views. The stylish bar serve tasty cocktails. There is an indoor pool and modern gym. Located on the wharf near the Royal Botanical Gardens and a short walk from the Sydney Opera House. Potts Point and all its shops & cafés are a short walk away. You'll need a taxi to get to Oxford Street gay bars (about 10 minutes).
Sydney Wattle Hotel
Not the best hotel in terms of room quality, but the Sydney Wattle is perfectly located for the gay scene and Mardi Gras, and you get your money's worth. Eleven guest rooms are equipped with flat screen TV, air conditioning, double-glazed windows, refrigerator and coffee maker. WiFi is available for a fee. The rooftop terrace offers harbour and city views.
Hyde Park Inn
Located in the heart of Sydney overlooking Hyde Park, the Hyde Park Inn offers comfortable rooms, studios and apartments. Each room has LCD cable TV, air conditioning and kitchenette. Free WiFi available. A light Continental breakfast is provided daily to the room. The hotel is surrounded by a range of shops, bars, cafés and restaurants. Oxford St's famous gay bars are just a 5-minute walk away. Buses to Bondi Beach depart 100 metres from the hotel.
Rydges World Square
The Rydges has great central location, next to World Square Shopping Centre, just a few minutes' walk to Oxford Street gay bars. The city's largest gay sauna, Sauna 357 is even closer. Morgans Boutique Hotel
Modern boutique apartment hotel right in the Darlinghurst gay district, Morgans offers a rooftop terrace with panoramic city views. Self catering here, but many cafes and restaurants are nearby. Friendly service and well located for the Sydney gay scene. The the main gay bars and nightclubs on Oxford are just a 10-minute walk away.
Fraser Suites Sydney
Located within a 42-level tower in Sydney's shopping district, close to the Darling Harbour, the well-equipped apartments at Fraser Suites offer jaw-dropping views. All rooms have a full kitchen (fridge, microwave, washer, etc.), modern bathroom, comfortable bed and a living room with a 32" LCD cable TV, free WiFi. Some rates include a buffet breakfast, served in the Mezzanine Lounge.
