Located 2.5 miles away from the downtown action, you can't miss this place as it's vividly hued in camp-as-pants colours. The large outdoor pool is often a hub of activity with DJs playing and weekend parties. During Coachella and White Party this hotel is popping. The Saguaro has a spa and you can make full use of a range of treatments. There's also a 24-hour gym. All of the rooms come with balconies and fittingly vibrant colours to match the hotels exterior. You can upgrade to a two bedroom suite if you need more space. All of the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. You can head to the in-house El Jefe restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner and then raise a glass at the pool bar.
Vista Grande Resort
Vista Grande Resort is a gay, clothing optional resort is stylish and just 1.6 miles from central Palm Springs. Located in the Warm Sands district and close to the gay nightlife of Arenas Road. Recently renovated, the resort boasts gardens, a lagoon and a dry sauna. There are two pools to choose from - clothing not required. The chic rooms come with microwaves and fridges. If you upgrade to a larger room you'll get a fully equipped kitchen. Palm Springs is a great destination for gay travelers and this is the resort for 'the discerning gay man.' If that's you we'd recommend staying here. Day passes are also available if you'd like to get your kit off and lounge by the pool.
Caliente Tropics is located in the White Sands district of Palm Springs and close to the gay nightlife, this Polynesian-inspired hotel is affordable and fun. The rooms are styled in vivid Polynesian hues and all come with free WiFi, coffee makers and cable TV. If you upgrade to a suite you'll get a living room as well. You can make the most of the hot tub, pool, restaurant and bar. Poolside service is available so you can indulge yourself quite nicely without leaving the hotel.
La Dolce Vita Resort
La Dolce Vita is a clothing-optional resort for men only, located right by downtown Palm Springs. With the gay nightlife, shopping and attractions right on your doorstep, the location is excellent. It's a great place to unwind and relax in a somewhat stimulating environment. The hotel offers Palm Springs only professional men's spa. There are 18 rooms to choose from of varying sizes. The Parker Palm Springs is shaded by palm trees and located five miles from downtown Palm Springs. Coachella Valley is just a half hour drive away so it's an ideal base if you're heading to the festival. The style of the hotel is vibrant and quirky. It could have been designed by Andy Warhol. The setting is spectacular. It's popular with celebrities and often used for fashion shoots. Rooms are ranged along sweeping corridors. The decor is quirky, most have four-poster beds and some offer balconies.
The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage
The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage is a luxury mountain-top hotel overlooking the desert. Located in Rancho Mirage, Coachella Valley, is just a 15-minute drive to Palm Springs. If you're looking for an atmospheric setting with great views, then this is hard to beat. The style is very chic and inspired by the mountainous setting. Lightly accented colors and stonework bring the desert right to the hotel. The rooms are spacious, with spa suites available too on top of the already available 24,000 square foot spa. The excellent service makes the added price tag worthwhile. Popular gay bars and clubs are in Downtown Palm Springs, only a 20-minute drive away.
La Maison Hotel
La Maison is located in the Deepwell Neighborhood and inspired by the hotels of the Meditteranean. You could be in Palm Springs or you could be in Provenance. East Canyon Hotel & Spa
East Canyon Hotel & Spa is a gay-owned hotel. It used to be gay only but now it welcomes a mixed crowd. You could call it straight-friendly. There are 15 well-appointed rooms - it's a fairly intimate setting. There's nightly happy hour around the pool at 5 pm. This is one of the classier hotels in town. The gay nightlife of Arenas Road is just down the road, including Hunters, supposing you'd like to dance the night away.
Colony Palms is a celebrated boutique hotel in Palm Springs. It's considered to be one of the best hotels in town. The Spanish-colonial building was built in 1936. It has tropical gardens, a nice pool and views of the San Jacinto Mountains. You'll receive a glass of rose when you check-in. There are 57 rooms, all elegantly designed with Spanish and Morrocan touches. Downtown Palm Springs is a short walk away. This is always a great choice for a Palm Springs vacation.
Sparrows Lodge is an intimate boutique hotel in Palm Springs. It's located in South Palm Springs - the gay nightlife is just 1.5 miles away and quickly accessible in a cab. This is a great choice if you'd like a smaller hotel with loads of character. The rooms are spacious, rustic in character and have a homely feel. They don't have TVs but they do have Wi-Fi.
